Saanane Island is Tanzania's smallest national park, located on Lake Victoria near Mwanza city. The island is a peaceful sanctuary with rocky outcrops, open grassland, and beautiful lake views.
The park is home to impalas, zebras, tortoises, monitor lizards, and a variety of waterbirds. It makes a great add-on for travellers passing through Mwanza.
Year-round. The dry season (June–October) offers the most comfortable conditions.
